Before I moved to Alaska and started teleworking, a female coworker told me to be careful not to gain weight.
At first I thought my coworker was being rude, but now after working from home for the past six months, I understand her warning. Because it’s the truth.
I’m not sure if it’s from working at home, being in close proximity of a stocked fridge all day, or moving to Alaska in the winter that helped me to gain weight. Maybe I can blame it on a good mix of it all.
I do my best to eat right and exercise as often as possible. “Often as possible” translates into about 3 time a week at best, but it takes only a sniffle or slight headache to throw me off.
I know if I just work at it I can get myself back into pre-Alaska, pre-wedding shape. For one year back in Florida I had a personal trainer who taught me exactly how to do it.
So, that’s my goal – getting back in shape and continuing to eat right. I’ll let you know how it’s going with tips for healthy eating and workout advice from time to time.
We’re going back to Florida in December, so I’ve got about four months to do it. I’ve got the motivation, all I need now is some dedication…
